Understanding a loss.

The loss of a loved one is emotionally painful for everyone involved. When a death occurs, family members and friends often struggle to understand the loss and the overwhelming emotions that accompany it.

The process of grieving varies in intensity and length from person to person. It is the goal of the Faith Hospice bereavement team to help relieve a family's emotional pain and assist them as they begin to look forward into the future.

Both hospice staff and specially trained volunteers give supportive care and counseling to family members and loved ones for 13 months following a death.
